Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, such as your name and email address when you create an account or contact us. When you create an account via Supabase Auth, we store your email, display name, and hashed password. If you use the metro live tracking feature, we collect your approximate GPS location to display train positions. We also automatically collect anonymized usage data through Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and Google AdSense to analyze site traffic and improve our services.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: provide and maintain your account and profile; save and retrieve your bookmarked routes and trip history; display real-time metro train positions using crowd-sourced location data; respond to your inquiries; analyze usage patterns to improve our services; serve relevant advertisements; and comply with legal obligations. Your fare settings and recently viewed routes are stored locally in your browser using localStorage.

Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies for authentication and analytics. Supabase Auth sets HTTP cookies to manage your login session securely. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity use cookies to track page views and user interactions. Google AdSense uses cookies to serve personalized ads. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. Opt out of personalized advertising at Google's Ads Settings.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services: Supabase (authentication, Postgres database with PostGIS, realtime subscriptions, and scheduled tasks via pg_cron); Google AdSense (advertising); Google Analytics GA4 (web analytics); Microsoft Clarity (session recording and heatmaps); Google Search Console (site performance monitoring); CARTO / OpenStreetMap (map tile rendering for bus and metro maps); Google Fonts (Inter and Noto Sans Bengali fonts). Each service operates under its own privacy policy. Supabase stores your account data in a hosted Postgres database. Map tiles are loaded from CARTO's CDN. Google Fonts are loaded via Next.js built-in font optimization.

Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
